The Archdiocese of New York will celebrate its 200th birthday in 2008. It is a time to reflect on our past and to prepare for the future. The Bicentennial Capital Campaign has been launched to help all parishes to manage the financial challenges of the 21st Century.
Our Goal
Our Needs
- Maintenance and Repair of our 136-year-old buildings
Formation of a 21st Century St. Thomas More Parish Reserve Fund
2006 Cardinal's Appeal ($137,500)
Designated Archdiocesan Fund for Needy Parishes (20% of Goal after Cardinal's Appeal)
Appeal News
Monies from the Parish Reserve funded by this Appeal have been used during August to repair and repaint the Church walls damaged by water leaks (we repaired the source of the leaks in March).
Reserve funds have also been used this month or next to repair the deteriorated gutter and downspout system on the Rectory roof (we have had recurrent leaks in our front bedroom because of the problem).
If you have not yet made a contribution to this significant Parish Appeal please try to do so before the end of the year so that we can report that we have reached and exceeded our goal.
If you need information about the Appeal please call Margaret Peet at the Parish Office 212-876-7718.
